Walking all day in New York City
Submitted by bugsly on Friday, January 6, 2006 - 19:39 New York | Walk

This morning started with a hot shower and ended sitting in front of a computer, all the rest was amazing sights and tired feet. Today we walked around New York City from 11:00am to 6:00pm (I admit we took about two taxi's!) so trust me it's great to be sitting down!

This morning we headed down to the Diamond District and looked around and saw some amazing jewelry. After that we started toward B&H Photo to buy a couple of camera's and some other technical neccesities.

We then went to a diner where they had an interesting item on the menu:

  • California Health Salad - $6.95 (Cottage Cheese, Fruit Salad, and Red Jello)
  • I asked the waitress what she thought of it, she said she really liked it. Meanwhile I am thinking to myself..."What do they think we eat in California?!" I do have to say that it was a very interesting experience!

We then headed down to the Empire State Building and saw all of New York from the top, that was a really cool experience to have if I say so myself. After that we went straight to Tiffany and Co. and saw some awe amazing pieces of jewelry once again.

We then stopped to see the 70 foot tall Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center and stopped by a Chocalatier for a few truffles. Finally, we ended our grand trip with a stop at Nintendo World and bought a few souvenirs. Overall I have to say that today was a load of fun, and also very rough on the feet!
