Our First Day
Submitted by bugsly on Saturday, December 31, 2005 - 14:18 Minnesota

I have to admit that I am writing this entry the second day of our trip because yesterday was pretty tiring. To tell the truth though it's great to finally be on the road, not to say that I don't miss everyone. Yesterday we woke up arond six o'clock and headed down to the airport in an airport limo. After that we got on the four hour flight to Chicago and experienced some seriously bumpy twists and turns, but basically I slept, ate, played gameboy, and looked out the window (I got to the window seat before Michael! Yipee!). Before I knew it we were on the plane from Chicago O'Hare International Airport to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport. So after five hours of plane travel we finally arrived in Minnesota and caught a cab.

As we sat in the cozy cab we made small talk with the driver my Dad asked what the weather forcast was,the driver said to us "Well it's supposed to get up to around thirty-two so you guys are in for some warm weather." warm huh? I'm not sure if I'm ever going to move to Minnesota. Anyway, the driver dropped us off at the Embassy Hotel, St. Paul. Or so we thought. When we went to the front desk to check in, we were told that we were in the wrong hotel, as in the Embassy Suites, Minneapolis. Unfortunatly our driver had made a subtle mistake between the twin city's. eventually we reached our hotel, an eight story, atrium style hotel, with real ducks (sorry, I've been corrected, "Minnesota Loons" is their real name) living in the man-made waterfall pond. I do have to add though, that my brother and I have had multiple snowball fights and it seems that I somehow keep on winning, I wonder why?
